🎯 Responsibilities

Build strong partnerships with operations and project teams

Oversee integration of H&S into business objectives

Ensure regulatory compliance (especially Cal/OSHA)

Review H&S plans and conduct site audits and inspections
-
Lead incident investigations and corrective actions

Create and deliver H&S training programs
-
Guide subcontractor safety prequalification reviews
-
Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
-
Present H&S updates in meetings, town halls, and briefings

Analyze safety metrics to improve HSE performance

Promote BeyondZero safety culture and observations
✅ Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field
-
Minimum 8 years in full-time H&S roles, with civil construction experience
-
Expertise in CA/OSHA and local/federal compliance standards
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint
-
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to travel across California and the West Region
Preferred:

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
-
Residence in the state of California
